Judge's Critique

Judge : Mrs M. Cuthbertson

Many thanks to my two able stewards and to all exhibitors. It was difficult at times to find exhibits that conformed to our Breed Standard. I found bitches far outshone the dogs for quality and type. There is too much variation in height and too many heads that are not typical. Too many looked good standing but did not live up to expectation on the move and lacked muscle tone  There are still some with short tails, a lack of forechest, croups that fall away too quickly and not enough “cat like” feet. However the majority were shown in clean condition and there were no signs of shyness or aggression. Some nice dogs had to go cardless. It was a pleasure to see some examples of great quality albeit mostly in the higher classes and it was a pleasure to hear the applause for my main winners.
