Richmond Semi-Final
As always Richmond came around as quick as ever! It was very strange having to sit ring side and watch even though I could have entered. Everybody was around the rings dead on 9 and i must say what a turn out! there was, so much support for the handlers. Dalmatians have grown in numbers with more and more juniors qualfiying for Richmond each year. I remember a time where there was only 1 or 2 of us.
Every year the Utility group is given such a tiny ring! I know from personal experience its really hard to mvoe a dog in such a small area and it's hard to find a judge to understand that. But a small tip that I use is learn and practise in small rings! It sounds very silly but the more your dog gets used to small rings the easier it will be for you to be able to move them. I was very impressed to see such good sportsmanship between the handlers. There always seems to be bad words said about young people, however when watching the juniors they were all happy and congratulated each other.
The results for this years class were as follows, 6-11 years group Jaideen Cotten. In the 12-16 years 4th Jaque Bonner and 6th Catherine Hobbs. Well done to all of you! Id also like to take this opportunity to congratulate all of the juniors who had qualified throughout the year and were able to represent the breed!
